It may be nearly 80 degrees out today but we are continuing our January winter units.  Today we learned about Penguins...  where they live, and how they keep warm in cold water.  We learned that their feathers are waxy and that protects them from cold water seeping onto their bodies.  We played with plastic penguins and then colored our own penguin pictures really hard with crayons.  When we finished we sprayed the pictures with water and they didn’t get wet.  Just like real penguins.
