Winter Fun
This week we did lots of fun winter projects. We painted winter street scenes, we read a book about how snow men melted and made our own melted snowmen pictures. We also said what made our snowmen melt. We drew some polar bears with chalk and finally we made some snow owls with paint on a sponge.
It was COLD out so we did some exercise and dancing in the hall!

It may be nearly 80 degrees out today but we are continuing our January winter units. Today we learned about Penguins... where they live, and how they keep warm in cold water. We learned that their feathers are waxy and that protects them from cold water seeping onto their bodies. We played with plastic penguins and then colored our own penguin pictures really hard with crayons. When we finished we sprayed the pictures with water and they didn’t get wet. Just like real penguins.

January 2020!
Welcome back to WIPP. We hit the ground running this morning and it feels good to be back. We are joined by 2 new friends in class. We played with snowmen, Frozen characters and talked about what Santa brought to us on Christmas. We also switched to last names and had a lot of success recognizing those already.
